“In my journey of drum making, I have discovered that our drums are like our children. In the creation of these powerful sacred objects, we are giving birth to a life force that taps into our connection to our primal essence and our inner child. In my art and my teachings I take my passion of this creation one step further and integrate the magical and mystical with ceremony and ritual. As a wisdom teacher I offer ritual and ceremony to my student drum makers to establish a relationship with the hide and the hoop as they create their personal power object.

This workshop includes materials to craft your own one sided 13" drum and includes a finished drum stick. Hides may vary from cow, deer or elk based on availability. In this workshop you will learn about making lace out of raw hide and the process of drum making. Lecture and story telling about shamanic drum journey and bonding with your drum.

Cost: $195

All Private Drum Making Session are from 9am to 4pm.

Private Drum Making Session

Experience ritual and ceremony within the desert landscape in your creation of either a 15" or 18" one sided drum using deer or elk hide and cedar hoop. Experiential drum journey and consecration, a finished drum stick with Llama fur batting are included. You will be guided on the sacred craft of drum making and learn about creating relationship with your drum that is customized for you.

Cost: $250~$295

$50 supplies fee due by upon registration. Supplies fee non-refundable after 7 days prior to session.
