One Day Drum Making Workshop
This powerful workshop includes materials to make your own one sided drum and drum beater. In this workshop you will learn to make your own own lace out of raw hide and learn to make a spiral handle. There will be a brief lecture on how to consecrate and journey with your drum and care insturctions.
August 22nd, 2010 10am to 7pm
The workshop may go overtime due to the nature of drum making.
Cost: $195 per person for 13inch drum $220 for 18inch drum

Two Day Drum Making Workshop
This powerful 2 day workshop includes materials to make your own one side drum and drum stick and experiential drum journey and consecration ceremony.In this workshop we will make our own lace out of raw hide and learn to make a spiral handle.
May 27-28, 2010 10am to 5pm daily
Each day is a pot luck lunch. Each day may go overtime due to the nature of drum making.
Cost: $225 per person for 13inch drum, $250 for 18 inch drum

3 hour drum making workshop
This fun three hour workshop includes sanding/painting your mini ashiko drum shell, storytelling, drum circle, assistance in attaching the drum head, and instructions for drum care.
The workshop is being offered at Shakti Rising www.shaktirising.org.
